Brass posts are fixed in place, eliminating the need to place and secure crimpable hooks. Posts are useful during the retraction and space closing phases, as well as providing an option for attaching headgear, elastics and springs. The strongest possible solder joint has been used to ensures the posts remain rmly attached to the archwire. DB Stainless Steel Posted archwires are made from 304V medical grade stainless steel to ensure strength and resistance to breakage.
The highly polished surface reduces friction between wire and bracket.
